Speaking of color, these fun and easy Decoupage Clay Flower Pots are made using upcycled women’s shirts. You can put those old ratty shirts meant for the trash to work in a fun and vibrant way!
Dressing up your plain and ordinary clay flower pots bring color, whimsy, and smiles to all that see them. The best part is how easy they are to make. With just a few simple materials, you can have bright and colorful flower pots to adorn your space!

Upcycled Women’s Shirts Decoupage Clay Flower Pots
Supplies Needed:
Ladies shirt (we found ours at a local thrift store or dig into your closets!)
Terra cotta flowerpot
Scissors and a ruler or a rotary cutter, a mat and ruler
Mod podge or spray adhesive
Foam brush
How to make these cute Decoupage Clay Flower Pots:
Step 1: Cut your shirt into sections. We saved the sleeves, buttons, and collars for future projects 😊 Cut the shirts into strips that measure *9 inches long by 1” wide. The number of strips you cut will depend on the size of your pot.
Step 2: Apply the mod podge or spray adhesive in small sections on the flowerpot. Start on the inside lip of the pot and move down the side and stop under the bottom.
Step 3: Repeat process until the pot is covered.
Step 4: Seal with a coat of mod podge and allow to dry completely.
*Adjust the length according to the size flowerpot you are using.
