HOMER Reading and Stories Apps Provide Customized Learning For Your Kids!
Most of us are trying to keep our kids busy with learning activities during this time of school and daycare closures. You might be trying to decide which of the many apps to use as a learning tool. I usually limit screen time to about 1 hour per day on school days so we’ve had to adjust our screen time schedule since school is closed. We are still doing a lot of hands-on learning, like writing, art, science, and physical activities. But at certain parts of the day, we enjoy some quiet time and my kids are allowed to hop on their tablets for some fun. To make sure they’re still learning while having fun, I carefully select apps for my children. My two favorite trustworthy go-to apps are from HOMER.
HOMER Reading and Stories apps are personalized and effective learning apps for children ages 2-8. HOMER Stories is an app that takes your children’s learning experience to the next level. Children are more likely to show an interest in a book if it’s about something they love. HOMER Stories takes your child’s age and hand-picked interest and curates reading material just for them! HOMER Reading is designed to nurture a child’s reading level and help them excel. Once you input their current reading level and interests, HOMER Reading puts together a personalized reading plan just for your child! This app helps your child with letter recognition and sound. These two apps will help your child fall in love with reading!
They know that when you invest in early childhood education, your child’s chances of success increase — not just in school, but also in their broader lives.
Their learning experts understand that when children are allowed to explore their interests and passions, they become curious, motivated, confident learners who are ready to take on the world. Their proven learning programs are designed by experts, research-based, fun and engaging, and easy to use.
I am so impressed with both the HOMER Reading and HOMER Stories apps! From the very start, you customize each child’s profile based on their age, interests and their reading level. Once the quick profile setup is complete, your child can start the fun on their learning plan. The Reading app mixes things up by allowing the child to complete a learning task and then rewarding them with something fun, like free-hand coloring and putting stickers on a picture. My kids love playing this app simply because they don’t feel like they’re learning, but that they’re playing. The app allows them to practice letter sounds, practicing writing upper and lower case letters, and rhyming words. I love that there is no time limit, which allows each child to learn at their own pace.
The Stories app is wonderful because your child can choose stories based on their interests, which could change every day. There are thousands of stories to choose from, from bugs to vehicles to sports. Once your child chooses a story, they can decide if they want to read it themselves or have it read to them. Most noteworthy to me from both of these apps is just how personalizable it is. Each of my kids has different interests and these apps give them SO many options on what to read and what to learn. They never get tired of this app! So, if you’re not sure what app you want for your child, HOME Reading and Stories is a no-brainer!
