March Trilogy Slipcase Set
This set of books is the first story John Lewis’ lifelong struggle for civil and human rights. Congressman John Lewis is a key figure in the civil rights movement. Seen through his commitment to justice and nonviolence, the reader learns about how far this nation has traveled since the days of Jim Crow and segregation. While the story is rooted in Lewis’ personal story, it also discusses the broader civil rights movement comparing the highs and lows. John Lewis went from an Alabama sharecropper’s farm to the halls of Congress. He lived through a segregated schoolroom to the 1963 March on Washington.
Reading this book will help you discover the inside story of the Civil Rights Movement through the eyes of one of its most iconic figures, Congressman John Lewis. The graphics are simply astounding. They draw you in and you can almost hear the songs and the cries for equality.
They Called Us Enemy
In this graphic memoir, the story is told by George Takei who was only 5 years old when the government forced his family to leave their home and possessions and move to a concentration camp. The story pivots between what his child eyes saw during the years in internment camp to how he sees it now as an adult. As an adult, he is able to clearly understand how deeply his parents suffered during and after their imprisonment. His family was one of over 100,000 Japanese Americans imprisoned by the U.S. government during World War II.
George Takei has captured hearts and minds worldwide with his captivating stage presence and outspoken commitment to equal rights. But long before he braved new frontiers in Star Trek, he woke up one morning to learn that his own birth country at war with his father’s-and their entire family forced from their home into an uncertain future.

This book has been declared the comics crossover of the year! For D & D fans, they will love ow quickly things get going. And if you are a fan of Rick and Morty, you’ve got to (bellllch!) roll for initiative. Enjoy reading about the two pop culture juggernauts team up. How will this end for Morty?
