List of Supplies:
Colored craft papers
Cardstock paper
Pencil
Scissors
Craft glue
Googly eyes
Printable Turkey Craft Template
Instructions:
Step 1:
Grab some fall inspired colors for this craft. Grab some fun colored craft papers for the tail feathers. Trace the tail feather pattern template on the colored craft papers and cut them out nicely.
Step 2:
Create small and even accordion folds on the paper cutout. Create the folds lengthwise.
Step 3:
Grab the accordion folded paper on the middle and press on that point.
Step 4:
Fold the accordion folded paper into half and join the straight ends (leaving the curved end facing outwards). Apply glue to attach the straight ends.
Step 5:
Here! Make sure that the straight ends of the half folded paper are attached nicely. This will be a tail feather of the paper turkey.
Step 6:
Similarly, create more tail feathers for the paper turkey.
Step 7:
Now, trace the body parts of the turkey. Trace the body and the wings on a cardstock paper and you can trace the other parts (beak, wattle and legs) on colored craft papers.
Step 8:
Attach the wings on both sides of the turkey body. Attach the googly eyes on the head part; and attach the beak and the wattle below the eyes to complete it.
Step 9:
Trace and cut out the tail base from a cardstock paper.
Step 10:
Attach the accordion folded tail feathers on the tail base cutout. Attach the paper feathers around the curved end of the tail base.
Step 11:
Continue to add paper tail feathers to the tail base until you’re satisfied with the pattern.
Step 12:
Now, simply attach the tail on the back side of the paper turkey body.
