On a rainy afternoon when the kids are screaming they are bored why not let them do a fun and easy craft? This Dollar Store Monster Bookmark Craft will have them screaming in delight instead of boredom! It is fun, bright, and inexpensive to do. Plus, it is a great way for them to work on colors and counting. When finished, the fun bookmarks will also help encourage them to read! You have to admit they are SO adorable!

Materials Needed:
Dollar Store Large Craft Sticks – one for each bookmark
Dollar Store Pom Poms – assorted
Dollar Store Chenille Stems – assorted
Dollar Store Wiggle Eyes – assorted
Dollar Store Washable Markers – assorted
Low Temp Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Scissors
Pencil
Instructions:
Step One:
Color all sides of craft sticks with washable markers. Set aside to dry.
Step Two:
Carefully insert sharpened pencil into large pom pom to create a hole. Place a small amount of low temp glue on chenille stem and insert into pom pom.
Step Three:
Holding pom pom at top of craft stick, wrap chenille stem around three times. Clip remaining length of chenille stem with scissors and secure with glue.
Step Four:
Create monsters attaching the remaining chenille stems, wiggle eyes and smaller pom poms with the glue gun.
Let the kiddos create their own monster bookmarks to encourage reading!
