My Thoughts:
Keeping my kids busy during the summer can definitely take some work. Even with plenty of toys, sometimes I just want them to play outside! While the older kids are pretty good about finding things to entertain themselves with, the little ones can need some help. And with several family trips coming up, I wanted toys that they could bring with us on the road.
That’s when the idea for fun in the sand with PLAYMOBIL sand products came along. I wanted toys to play with in the sand, at the beach, the back yard, or even in the house! They needed to be sturdy, well made, and colorful too of course. So I think it’s great that PLAYMOBIL fits my family so well. We decided to go with two different toys, one is the Ice Cream Shop Sand Bucket set and the other is the Water Tank Truck. The Ice Cream Shop Sand Bucket is a terrific set of toys, including a scoop, a sifter, cones, and even ice cream tops.
Plus the cute little figures that go with the ice cream stand. Not only can they play “shop” with this set, but they can use the bucket to build castles and the scoops can help dig. The ice cream tops double as molds for the wet sand which is great when they’ve scooped some on the cone. And everything can fit inside the bucket and we use the sifter as a lid to keep it all contained. No lost pieces! Or tears.
But what about the water tank truck?
And the Water Tank Truck is great for hauling water where it’s needed. The kids fill up the tank on the back of the truck and roll it to wherever they need that water to go. The kids use it for moats, lakes, rivers, and even just to keep the sand wet for shaping. The tank can be removed from the truck for easy filling and pouring out the water. There are two pieces of tracks or ramps included to help get across difficult terrain or to serve as bridges. The set even includes an adorable construction figure to drive the truck and help supervise the project! Everything snaps into place to keep all the pieces together when storing or traveling. This also works great inside when they are using their imaginations.
