This Father’s day get Dad a wonderful, Caavo Control Center that will thrill him, and help you keep the house a little bit more tidy. All the men in my life love any new technology, so when I saw this I knew my husband would want it! I was correct, and my husband was truly excited to set up this streamlined control system on our TV.
About Caavo
Caavo Control Center is simple to set up, and walks you through everything you need to do. Plus it works with voice assistants like our Alexa. Now with just one remote you can connect and seamlessly switch between all your devices and apps. During set up Caavo was able to recognize my other devices, which made a simple set up even easier.
You can connect up to 4 home theater and streaming media players plus a sound bar or audio receiver. Then the Caavo Control Center automatically knows which devices to use and can find what you want on whatever app it is on. After that it plays it and you are good to go.
New Features
Although Caavo is remarkable as is, they just added new features to the Control Center such as Telescope. Telescope allows you to view what is playing on another TV connected to another Control Center in the home. There is also a TiVo Integration which will allow you to voice search and play back content recorded from your TiVo DVR. They have added expanded TV support, and also it now works with Channel Master, Mediasonic Homeworx, and TiVo Bolt OTA.
Most noteworthy to me is the parental monitoring they have added called Family Care. It gives parents the tools to help monitor TV use in the home. You can have a notification sent if there is R-rated content viewed in the children’s room, or if Grandma’s TV has not been used in 48 hours. Then you can message your child to stop watching TV and do their homework without ever getting up.
Mom’s Thoughts
Although this is a gift for my husband, it is really a gift for me. We went from the clutter of five remotes, to just one. It controls it all, so now I do not have to fumble for the one that does the volume, or look for the control to play a DVD. I can do it all with one remote, use Alexa, or an app on my phone. The app makes life interesting, since I can change the TV from my phone. My son was really flustered when his video game on the Switch changed to a movie on Spectrum. Oh what power I now wield!
Now I just have to put away one controller, versus constantly putting five away. This makes me extremely happy, and the system makes my family happy. The remote is easy to use and is voice activated. You can just speak into it, and tell it the title you want to watch. Then it pops up on the screen with several viewing options.
The app allows me to control my TV from anywhere. I can shut it off on the children, or turn it on for my dogs. I can also turn it on so it looks like we are home, while we are away on vacation. Best thing about my Caavo system is the support. They make sure you know how to set your system up with various helpful tools. They also make it easy to contact them. In this digital age that is not always the case.
