SANSI Stellar Floodlight Camera
This security light has a built in motion activated LED Lights and Security Cam. When motion it is detected, the unit turns on the floodlights and starts recording video. It also sends you an alert. You can easily monitor your home through your cell phone from anywhere in the world. Videos recorded are stored on the internal 16G memory card. You can also download and share them through your phone if ever needed.
The camera offers a “Live View” with a 140 degree video angle. You can monitor your home at any time, and speak with visitors directly through the WIFI connection. You also have the option to turn on the lights remotely when needed as well as the built in siren. When the siren is activated, the lights stay on and the microphone is opened so you can let the would be intruder know that you are aware they are outside your home.
Installation is Simple and Quick
Installation is easy, however it does require a hardwired installation to a weatherproof electrical box. Once installed, the unit is rated as UL waterproof standard, which makes it perfect for outdoor use in weather exposed areas around your home. My Thoughts
While our dog Ham loves to bark…and bark..at everything, he is in no way a guard dog. And since my schedule often has me coming home after dark, it’s important for the pathways to be clearly illuminated for my (and others) security.
My husband recently installed the SANSI Stellar Floodlight Camera in the place of one of our porch lights. WOW this is one BRIGHT lighting unit. So bright in fact that our neighbors on the other side of the road have asked us to tip the lights down just a tad. One of them said it looked like it was day time in their bedroom every time the motion sensors picked up movement. Oops..sorry neighbors. I think we will be moving the unit up to a higher position, which should alleviate that problem and still allow us to have the front walkways and porch visible.
Installing the SANSI light took maybe all of 20 minutes and some of that was removing the existing light. The unit does require being hardwired, but it will fit just about anywhere you already have a flood light outside around your home.
Setting up SANSI App
It took a lot more time to get the app installed and the unit set up through the WIFI. The directions were simple enough, just press the button on top until the unit “spoke” to you and then click the “add device” in the app on your phone. Once the unit was configured and connected, you were able to see the covered area on your phone. We had quite a time getting the unit to sync with our WIFI, but once the unit finally connected, it works great. I wonder if the unit needed to run updates (as most computerized units have to do) before it could be accessed through the app. Just wanted to share that in case you have the same issue with the unit when connecting it. Just allow it a little time to “do its thing” once you power it on. Then connecting is a breeze.
SANSI light sends notice to your phone
Now that it is connected, when someone or something moves in the motion covered area; I get a notice on my phone. I can see what is triggering the notice whether it is a person, animal, or as in our case..the wind chimes moving in the breeze!
From within the app, I can talk the person on the porch or chase off the wandering dog that got too close. I can also turn on the siren, which would hopefully garner attention from my neighbors especially at night.
SANSI Security
I have to admit that I feel safer knowing the SANSI Stellar Floodlight Camera is outside. I no longer have to get up and go peek outside to see who or what the dog may be barking at or what “that sound” was that woke me up.
