Before I head out shopping for gift items I like to think about the person that will be receiving the gift. Most of my shopping list includes people that love handcrafted items. About CHI Candles:
Chi Candle, a candle company, owned and operated by wife and husband team, was founded by Chi in Menifee, a city in southwestern Riverside County, California in 2013.
ChiWe were inspired by our love of candles and everything that they bring to a home. However, we were very frustrated with some of the candles we had purchased.They often had little or no aroma, and they burn down the middle of the jar, leaving lots of wax stuck to the side of the jar. We started doing some research and decided to try at making our own candles. Chi CandleWe discovered that most candles are made from paraffin wax, and paraffin wax is obtained from petroleum, which has been found to contain many carcinogenic toxins as well as create soot in the buildings they are burned. On the other hand, many candles are made from soy wax, and soy candles are the healthy, natural alternative to paraffin candles, so we decided to use soy wax in our scented candles. Our soy candles are burn clean, last long, and scented strong! They are poured completely different than any other candle on the market. We make our candles in small batches, and we have developed our unique formula and pouring process. This formula enhances the scent-throw, and maintain a longer burn time.All of our candles are hand poured using domestically grown soy wax, environment-safe cotton wicks, fine fragrance oils, apothecary inspired jars, packaged, and shipped from our Murrieta, California studio.

My Thoughts
I love when I can knock several names of my shopping list at one time. And I like being able to buy things all year long to stock my gift cabinet because I am one of those that usually waits until the week before if not the day before I need a gift. You know what happens then, I am out wandering the stores looking for something and never finding what my heart wants to gift the friend or family member.
Candle Lovers
I am also a candle lover at heart. One reason is of course the scent. Oh, how a little candle can bring back memories. Some of my favorite candles remind me of being a child while others help me to relax at the end of a day.
Recently I discovered soy candles by CHI Candles. They are amazing. The scent is just as nice from the first time you light it until the last of it burns away at the bottom. If you are a candle lover you know what I mean. It is so frustrating to buy a candle only to have it burn down the center or only have scented oils on the top layer of wax. But since CHI Candles are made from soy beans with essential and fragrance oils, they burn clean and smell wonderful all the way to the bottom.
Candles make great gifts
I think candles make great gifts for several reasons and the first being that they are consumable. Once the candle is enjoyed, it is not something that has to be maintained or cared for at all. Another reason I love giving candles is that I get to match the scent to the recipient. This makes the gift special and unique to that person. Finally, at least for me, I think about the person that gave me the candle every time I light it. I am not sure that is the case in reverse, but I hope so.
