How it all started
Two women had a mission: help the best products succeed. They were tired of working with retail companies that squashed great ideas that bigwigs deemed “too risky” or “too outside the mainstream.”They decided to get those amazing ideas in front of a wide audience. Since 2008, The Grommet has brought over 2,500 products to millions of people. Most of the items are from entrepreneurs and small businesses—hard-working folks like you.
Here are a couple of my favorite things from The Grommet:
State Scented Candles
Aptly named the No Place Like Home Candles as they are created to trigger those memories of home. Each candle is made with the special fragrances of your chosen state. Made in Oregon and only with clean-burning soy wax. These candles combine scents that captures the essence of home.

Oak Cut Maps showcase the unique patterns formed by an aerial perspective of your state transforming the map into a sophisticated but minimalist silhouette with clean lines and shapes.

My Thoughts
When shopping for someone special, I like finding gifts that are unique. Maybe something that is not found in every store in town. This can certainly be a challenge but it is one that I have found a solution to with shopping at The Grommet.
The Grommet is an online store that pulls into one place all the awesome and unique gifts that someone like me would be looking to buy. Seriously, they have something for everyone on my shopping list!
Recently I ordered a couple of things from them and both products scream… remember your childhood!
What reminds you of your childhood home? Does just a whiff of something evoke memories from long ago? For me, I have two places I call home; Kentucky and Florida. I was born in Kentucky but spent a lot of my childhood in Florida. Both places have special scents that trigger memories for me.
I am enjoying the Kentucky Scented Candle as I go about my day. It is a warm scent of being “home”. For me it is comforting and relaxing.
Another item that I can’t stop staring at is my Kentucky Oak Cut State Map. Born in Kentucky, the Blue Grass state will always hold a special place in my heart. This oak map is so delicate looking with all the major highways intertwining across the state.
While these two items were special to me, The Grommet has so many other products to choose from that making a choice is the hardest part of shopping.
