A Magical Unicorn Themed Craft Project
If you have a Unicorn-Lover in your family, you will NEED to make this fun Pin Board! It would look perfect on a bedroom door, in a locker or even add some magnets and put it on the fridge.
If you love Unicorns, be sure to check out our other Unicorn crafts, like our Holographic Unicorn Notebook HERE.
List of Supplies:
You can get these supplies at any craft store, like Hobby Lobby, but I’ve listed some you can purchase on Amazon for your convenience.
- Craft foam board
- Craft foam – 1 cm thick (at least)
- Pencil
- Marker pen
- Scissors
- X-acto knife
- Craft glue
- Glitter foam sheet
- Sequins
Instructions:
Step -1:
Print out the template patterns on an A4 size sheet by clicking HERE. Trace the full pattern on craft foam board and craft foam. Cut out the traced pattern. You will need to use x-acto knife to cut the foam board but the foam sheet and be cut using sharp scissors.
Step -2:
The foam board will be the base of the pin-board and the foam sheet will be placed on the top of the base, which will be used as the pin-board. To use the foam sheet for pinning it should be at least a cm thick; otherwise you won’t be able to insert pins in it.
Step – 3:
There, the base board and the pinning sheet are ready. Use a pencil to trace the positions of other details (hair and horn of the unicorn) on the foam sheet cut out. You can simply place the hair and horn cut outs on the foam sheet cut out and trace their sides on the sheet to mark their positions.
Step – 4:
Trace the hair and the horn cut outs on glittery sticker sheets and cut them out nicely.
Step – 5:
Stick the pinning sheet on the top of the base board cut out. Place a few heavy books on the top of them to make sure that the board and the sheet are glued firmly. Once they are joined grab the glitter cut outs.
Step – 6:
Remove the protection paper from the back side of the glittery sticker cut outs and place them on the similarly traced parts on the pinning sheet.
Step – 7:
Continue to do add the stickers until the pattern is complete.
Step – 8:
Use a black sharpie or marker pen to trace the eyes, mouth and nose of the unicorn.
Step – 9:
Grab some craft decor items and decorate the unicorn pin board as you like. I am using sequins for decoration.
Happy crafting!
Be sure to pin for later!
