My Thoughts:
I’ve always kept a pair of headphones for the kids on hand since they were toddlers. While they didn’t use them a lot at that young age, sometimes it was necessary to help keep them entertained while saving my sanity. Not having to listen to their favorite story or kid songs over and over again was a blessing. But I did always find that I had to keep adjusting the volume because they would mess with the controls and make it louder!
That’s one of the first things I love about the BuddyPhones Wave; I can choose between several settings that only allow for a certain maximum sound level. The settings include one for toddler, child, kid, or even a study/travel mode. These allow for a maximum noise level that is the lowest for the toddler and gradually higher under the kid setting. And the study/travel mode isn’t louder, but helps isolate the vocals when the surroundings are loud, like on an airplane or a busy restaurant.
Being wireless Bluetooth headphones is another great feature.
I can charge them up at night, especially if I know we have plans for the next day. And they can use them for hours without having to recharge or swap out batteries. And, just in case, a 3.5mm cord is included in case I need to plug the headphones directly into a device if the battery has run out or if Bluetooth isn’t available. This same cord can also function as a sharing ability with up to 4 friends. Basically, as long as the electronic device offers Bluetooth functionality, I can hook the BuddyPhones Wave headphones to the device and let the kids listen to it. We’ve used it on their tablets, my smartphone, and even the car’s stereo and DVD player when we travel!
For the pretty princess in my life, I ordered the BuddyPhones Wave headphones in the Pink Unicorn variety. It comes with it’s own carrying/travel bag and name tag stickers to keep them separate from one another’s. They are also waterproof in the sense that they are safe to use at the beach, by the pool, or anywhere else we may go together.
