Bring on the Laughter With PlayMonster Games #SpringFunonMDR

February 26, 2019 by Misty Stephens

Games are a great way to spend some fun, quality time with your family.  Not only do games strengthen skills and thinking, but they can add a whole lot of laughter as well.  We love games at my house, and we generally play at least one family game a week.  Everyone has their favorites, so we vary which game we play.  PlayMonster has several games that are hilarious and a bunch of fun to play.  These last couple weeks, we have played much more than once a week.  When you have great games to play, once a week just isn’t enough!

games, laughter, fun

About OranguTwang

This game is as fun as a barrel of orangutans, lol.  I got this game for my niece and she loves it.  She played it the first time with my daughter and her expressions were fabulous.  This game where an orangutan hangs from the trees put her through a myriad of emotions.  They took turns hanging fruit and bats onto the primate.  Since they knew it could jump up and scatter fruit at any moment it was a tense game.  she had a fit of giggles at the end when my daughter lost.  It was so fun to watch them play and enjoy some girl time together.  I know that this game is my niece’s favorite right now, and the best part is she can play without adult help.  It is easy to play, and a great deal of fun.

About Mad Moves

This PlayMonster game is a great change from games that have you sit around idle.  For this game you spin a spinner and roll the dice.  The spinner tells you what style to dance in and provides the music.  The dice tells you what card to pick up, and that in turn tells you what to dance like.  Maybe a tap dancing lion, or a zombie who does the Limbo.  There are a ton of cards to act out, and it just is downright fun and silly.  Plus a great way to get up and moving for exercise.

great, family, fun

My daughter loves this game and we had to play a bunch of rounds.  She wants to play with her friends and I have to admit I would love to just watch the fun ensue.  I think this is a perfect party game for boys and girls who like to dance.  It is easy to play and gives the kids a chance to show their creative style to get others to guess who or what they are.  It is hilarious to watch a T-Rex do ballet, and a grandpa tap dance.  Here you can see my daughter playing the violin, while she did the twist.  It was so fun to act out the zany cards and dance around the living room.

About Relative Insanity

PlayMonster knows that we all have that one member of the family that says the craziest things.  Therefore this game which features the humor of Jeff Foxworthy will have you all rolling on the floor in fits of laughter.  If you have ever heard Jeff Foxworthy, you know he is hilarious.  Then you take silly statements inspired by his friends and family and use them as punchlines to a setup card.  Nothing but fun and laughter can come from that mix!  For the game one player reads a setup card such as “Nothing will ruin an Easter Brunch like your sister saying…”  Then the other players pick a card from their hand to finish that statement like: “Ewwwwwww! It’s got bugs all over it!”, “I need a Gas-X tablet.”, or “I’m quitting school and joining the circus!”  After the cards are all read aloud by the reader, laughter erupts!  Then the reader picks their favorite and that player gets the set up card.  First player to five cards wins!

My husband loves, loves, loves this game.  He was laughing the whole game through.  After he won the first time, we had to play three more times.  He just likes to hear what the cards say and laugh.  He won most of the games, but I did win the last.  That is probably why he didn’t want to play anymore, lol.  The game is for ages 14 and up, and some of the cards are definitely geared to an older crowd.  Even though my son is 15, I removed a few cards that I did not want him to see.  Otherwise most of the cards were fine, and all so funny.   This will be a game we go back to often during our game nights!

About Marbleocity Archimedes Screw

With this PlayMonster product, you can build your very own working model of an Archimedes Screw.  In an hour, you will have be able to use the hand crank, and watch marbles twirl up, and then roll back down into the perfect position to go again.  With pretty purple plastic accents, this kit is very cool.  Plus it can connect to other Marbleocity kits for bigger fun.  This kit allows children to tinker with engineering principles and physics, through hands on experience.  The STEM model kit is made of wood that is precisely cut, with easy to follow instructions,

My daughter loves the kinetic sculpture she made all by herself.  At first she was leery, but once she began, she sat there until it was all made.  Then she was so proud of it and showed us all how the Archimedes Screw worked.  Now she uses it as a fidget tool while we homeschool.  When she gets upset over a hard math problem or needs to wait for my help, she twists the crank and watches the marbles go up and roll back down.  It helps her relax when school gets stressful.

If you do not already have a family game night, check out PlayMonster and begin a great new family tradition.  You will laugh, and that is so good for your health.  Plus your kids will see you having a good time with them and that is great fro your relationships.  They also have great STEM kits and toys too, so there is something for everyone.

Which game would you like best?
