Poor Dick and Sally. It’s cold and wet and they’re stuck in the house with nothing to do . . . until a giant cat in a hat shows up, transforming the dull day into a madcap adventure and almost wrecking the place in the process! Written by Dr. Seuss in 1957, The Cat in the Hat (the first Random House Beginner Book) changed the way our children learn how to read.
Help us celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd! Check out our other Dr. Seuss Recipes and Crafts HERE!
Supplies:
- 3 large craft sticks
- 13 small craft sticks
- White pom poms
- Red pom poms
- Glue
Instructions:
Step 1: Using two large craft sticks as support, glue one large craft stick on the bottom, followed by 13 small craft sticks on top to form a hat.
Step 2: Glue one row of white pom poms on the large craft stick.
Step 3: Alternate between rows of red pom poms and white pom poms until all of the craft stick base is covered.
Step 4: Finish all the way to the top of the “hat” and you’re done! Enjoy!
