When it comes to having a large family, entertainment can be tricky. Our kids range in ages from college to grade school so finding something for us all to do without leaving anyone out can be a task! My Thoughts:
Planning a family movie night is a lot of fun. The first thing we do is talk to all the kids and whoever else is being invited about their schedules. Usually the weekends work out for the best since most of them don’t have school or work commitments the following day. A lot of times we’ll also do an easy dinner before hand, and this normally will have easy foods like pizza, fried chicken, or even pot luck meals where everyone brings or helps make a dish (even the younger kids can help a parent or sibling).
Next, we will discuss a few title options. It has to be audience appropriate of course! It’s not always new movies either, but classics that either we already own or can rent or borrow for the night. The local libraries have a great selection of DVDs and there are the local “boxes” you can rent movies from in several locations around our town. We will normally pick up the voted on title while out getting groceries for the evening and simply get everything we’ll need in a single trip to help save time and money.
When it comes to movie night snacks, we like to have a lot of finger foods and dishes that can be set up in a “fix it yourself” bar on a table along with bowls, toppings, and utensils. Then everyone can fix exactly what they want and go back for more, even in the middle of the movie.

It provides beautiful pictures and images and is so bright, we can watch a movie in the day or night time without it being dim or hard to see! The contrast the projector gives, even in middle or dark tone images is terrific! You don’t feel like you’re missing details in those dark or hard to see scenes, while also providing amazing details in brighter scenes with beautiful colors. And fighting to get the same effect like at the movie theater in a typical rectangle size image was a challenge in the past for most projectors. You could get pretty close but it still wound up being a trapezoid type shape on the screen.
