We love pets and animals in my family. Plenty of the traditional kind like cats, dogs, and birds. But we’ve also been known to have critters like pigs, ferrets, turtles, you name it. So it’s no surprise that our youngest ones also like to play with toys that are centered around pets and animals! Whether it’s farm play sets or jungle life, they love pretending to be the different animals they see. Lately they’ve been having a blast with the Tiny Paws Pet Hotel from Playmobil. It’s a huge set full of fun and imaginative play time to enjoy.

My Thoughts:
I love when they get encouraged to use their imagination to play, especially with non-electronic toys and games. Screen free time is a big deal in my house! Don’t get me wrong, technology has a time and a place, even in education. But so much can be missed if kids don’t get to play with toys on their own. They learn skills that naturally come along with interacting.
As I said before, my whole family loves animals, so it should be no surprise that the youngest in the house absolutely loved the Tiny Paws Pet Hotel. Now, at first glance, it seemed overwhelming since the box says it has a lot of parts. But…a lot of those are the animal figures themselves. So this set is like the perfect resort for any animal. There is a reception area, a kitchen, laundry area, and a ton of outside activities! We love agility training with our puppy at the park. This hotel kit that has several pieces the kids see us use all the time.
It wasn’t difficult to set up, one of our almost six year olds actually put it together for his sister by himself. They love playing with it together, taking turns pretending to be either one of the human caretakers included or one of the many animal friends. They can set up the fence around the building, use the pet door to go outside, play with any of the small accessories like food, treats, or even a stethoscope.
