Cuddle + KindCuddle + Kind dolls are entirely handmade knit dolls perfect for kids of all ages. We recently took on the challenge of tidying up. I promised my husband that I would not bring anything into our home that didn’t have a purpose. When we stepped into our kid’s rooms we had to figure out how to tidy up their spaces while still allowing them to have toys. When we stumbled on to cuddle+kind dolls, my heart soared at their purpose. For every ethically produced, hand-knit doll sold, cuddle+kind provides 10 meals to children in need. Finally, we were giving while receiving. My husband agreed that supporting a brand was a fantastic way to bring a new doll into our home.
About cuddle+kind Dolls
With a background in health, we recognize the crucial role nutrition plays in a child’s development. As parents, we believe all children should have enough food to eat and the opportunity to thrive, so when we saw a documentary on the devastating impact of childhood hunger on millions of children around the world, it inspired us to help. On that day, we decided to start a company whose purpose is to help improve the lives of children and to make a difference. We created cuddle+kind because we wanted to make beautiful hand-knit dolls that help feed children. So for every cuddle+kind doll sold, we give 10 meals to children in need. We’re proud that our dolls are made with natural, high-quality cotton because it’s important to us that they’re safe, soft and cuddly.We’re also super proud that every doll is lovingly handcrafted by incredible women artisans in Peru, providing them with a sustainable, fair trade income.
The goal of cuddle+kind is to provide 1 million meals a year. cuddle+kind offers hand-knit dolls and inspirational prints. There are currently 27 adorable dolls in the collection, each with its own birthday and a favorite quote. cuddle+kind has partnerships with several respected humanitarian agencies including World Food Program USA, Children’s Hunger Fund, Breakfast Club of Canada and WE Charity to guarantee that every purchase directly benefits children in need.
Each cuddle+kind doll has a favorite inspiring quote that we’ve made into stylish, unframed prints! The best part is, every 10” x 10” print provides 5 meals to children in need and is the perfect addition to the décor of your little one’s room.
Zoe the unicorn and Chloe the bunny
Our Zoe the unicorn doll is 20″ long and Chloe the bunny is 13″ long. These hand knit dolls are handmade in Peru using sustainable, fair trade practices with premium 100% cotton yarn. The knit details give her an heirloom quality. cuddle+kind dolls are US + Canadian safety standard certified so they are safe and non-toxic. Dolls are available in two sizes a little 13″ and regular 20″ long version. Each doll has a signature 10 meal wristband.
My Thoughts
cuddle+kind dolls are beautiful handmade lovies. I knew the moment my daughter and I opened her first box of cuddle+kind that these dolls would only be the beginning to a new love. The attention to detail is impeccable. They are soft and gentle while still made to withstand life with a child. My daughter loves her cuddly friends and loves to have them with her. For me it’s not just a beautiful doll, it’s a beautiful doll that provided meals and has a purpose. It’s a beautiful doll that my daughter can grow with and maybe one day pass on to her child.
