Technology is the name of the game for most of us when it comes to shopping for gifts. And while we purchase special pieces now and then, sometimes I need to find budget friendly items that will still prove useful, especially with items we already own. I love plug and play type pieces that helps to expand a system already in place, like adding speakers to the sound system or upgrading the security system with another camera.
One of the most unexpected technology purchases we made this year that has gotten a ton of use is the Amazon Echo and Google Home. We treat them like “smart assistants” these days, asking them questions about the weather, to tell us a joke, or even play music for a family gathering. And although they are certainly useful in their own right, I found myself wishing they were more portable so I could use them anywhere in the house without having to buy extra units. This is where the company, Ninety7, came to the rescue. Not only can they help solve a problem for me, they also are helping me find tech gifts for under $50 this year.
We keep our Google Home in the living room.
