As the evenings start to cool off, we spend more time outside. Sometimes we move dinner to the back porch and sometimes it’s just for some light playtime in the dark. We even invite friends and neighbors over to enjoy a meal or let our kids burn off energy before bedtime! And now it’s dark when we take the dogs for that last evening walk before their bedtime and we want to stay safe while also enjoying the fall weather. So we are using these fun products to light the night with Nite Ize!
About Nite Ize

Products:
- FLASHFLIGHT® LIGHT UP FLYING DISC WITH DISC-O SELECT™ – This heavy duty flying disc is great to play with at the park, and even more fun at night when you turn on the LED light in the center. You can let it cycle through the six colors or pick your favorite color to remain lit!
- NITEGEM™ LED LUMINARY – This cute gem gives off a soft light of either white or five other colors and it will glow steady or flash! And they also float, so they are great to toss in the pool, a hot tub, or even a cooler for a warm evening party.
- TAGLIT™ MAGNETIC LED MARKER – If you walk your dogs or go for a run at night, you want to make sure you are seen clearly! These magnetic LED lights are great to clip on your shoes, the back of your shirt, your hat, or even on your dog’s collar where they will light up or flash to keep you safe.
- STEELIE® ORBITER™ VENT MOUNT KIT – If you use your phone while you’re driving in the car, you have to be safe and smart about it. By using this magnetic vent mounted kit, you can still make calls via speaker or Bluetooth in your car or use the map for navigation without being careless. Easy to install and safe for most phones and tablets.
My Review
We love when the season changes from summer to fall and we spend a lot of time outside as it starts to cool off after a long day. It’s nice to enjoy our dinner on the patio and then let the kids and dogs play in the grass while my husband and I relax and talk about our day as the sun goes down. The porch lights are great for safety and security at night, but in the “in between” period of day and night, the kids like to play with the Flying Disc from Nite Ize. They usually let the colors rotate through as they toss the disc back and forth. The bright LED lights help them see it coming, or track it down in the grass if they don’t catch it. And if they decide to play in the pool (which will be closing soon), they enjoy playing with the NiteGem since it not only floats but also lights up just like the Flying Disc! Toss a few in the water and swim and bob around them like an obstacle course. These are also great to toss into the cooler when we want to be able to see what we’re grabbing, but not have the big overhead lights on that blind us in the dark!
When I take the dogs for a walk during the summer, it’s usually still pretty light out and I don’t have to worry about not being seen by cars on the road. But as it starts to cool off, the sunlight doesn’t stick around long in the evening. So I like to clip on a few of the TagLit Magnetic Markers to help draw attention to myself and the dogs. I clip one on the back of my shirt collar, the front bill of my hat, and then one on the dog’s collars. They come in several colors, and they all will shine as a solid light or blink, and turn on and off with a push of the button. And since they are magnetic, they will stay in place even if we’re jogging.
I drive a lot for errands and when we travel, and I prefer to use my phone for navigation. Sometimes it can be hard to listen for the verbal directions if I toss my phone in the seat, especially if I’m not alone. But I know it’s not safe to hold it and drive at the same time, even for phone calls. So the Steelie Orbiter Vent Mount is a great solution; I simply installed the magnet to the back of my phone case, clipped the mount to my vent, and let the magnet connect to the mount! Then I can angle it however it needs to be for me to see it clearly, and I don’t have to really take my eyes off the road more than a glance just to confirm the next turn. You should still be safe and aware of your surroundings, and be sure to know your local laws regarding using phones or devices in your vehicle.
So whether your kids are playing outside as it gets dark, your hosting friends and family members for a fall cookout, or you just need to stay safe when walking at night or driving while using your phone for GPS navigation, Nite Ize has something that is perfect for every need. We have loved adding bright LED colors to our games and evenings outside as the weather turns cooler, and they are great for indoor use too once it’s too cold to hang outside for long. Be sure light the night with Nite Ize and pick up a few things for yourself or those on your gift list for the upcoming holiday season!
