Mom’s Thoughts
These pencil sharpeners are so cute, and work so well. I have three kids and I gave one style to each of them. My daughter got the ice cream truck with the cute vanilla cone on top that lights up. The truck is detailed in pink and blue, with pink and blue lights that flash. As soon as you stick in a pencil the lights and music begin. It makes the task more fun, and allows the kids a fun start to their day. Due to their noise level, we will make sure pencils are sharp before school. Then the kids will be set for the day, and if they do break once in a while during school it will provide an uplifting diversion.
Shut Off Safety
It is really neat that you can see the shavings in the back off each truck so you know when to empty the truck out. Plus it has a safety feature so when you are opening the back the sharpener will shut off. This is so important for curious children since this is an electric pencil sharpener. Now even children as young as 5 can have this cool back to school tool!
It is also worth mentioning that the wheels grip the table so the pencil sharpener does not move around as you sharpen your pencils. Lights will flash, and sirens will blare, but it will not roll or slide off the table. These trucks come in nice boxes that would make an excellent back to school gift for your favorite students. Plus they make a great present for firemen and police officers. My brother-in-law is a fireman, and I have a firetruck sharpener just for him.
