My Thoughts:
I love watching the shows on television that show the smart homes and all that they can do by you just using your voice. My house was built in the 1970’s and the only thing it is really good at is tripping fuses when the girls plug in a blow dryer in one room and the iron in another.
But with the new Element Color Plus bulbs, I can now enjoy some of the high tech features including integrating with the Amazon Alexa, Echo Plus, Google Assistant, and IFTTT. This smart LED bulb has over 16 million colors options..crazy isn’t it! And by linking up with either the Amazon Alexa, Echo Plus, or Google Assistant, it opens up a whole new level of smart home options such as controlling when the lights are on and at what level of energy usage.
I am having so much fun learning all the devices that can be connected and used to turn my home into more of a smart home.
And with the Solo Color Plus bulb, I can have music anywhere at anytime. This awesome bulb is both a Bluetooth speaker and and a light bulb that allows you to change the color of the room to the beat of the music or choose from an almost unlimited selections of color options.
Both of these units are set up through an app that you install from the Apple Store or from the Google Play Store. Once connected, you can control them through the apps. Imagine changing the brightness of the lights from your cell phone or having them turn off or on as you move through the house.
I like being able to turn on the lights in several rooms when I pull up to the house…long before I open the front door. It is comforting to not have to walk into a dark home for safety reasons and it saves money by not having to leave lights burning when we are not home.
