My children love to be outside, preferably in the woods or up a tree. Personally, I like it when they play outside too but, my several of my children are the types that all they have to do is look at poison ivy and they break out. With Summer coming, I am stocked up and ready to stop skin irritations with Marie’s Original Soap. Seriously, this soap stops the itch and calms the redness of irritations from bites and rashes.

My Thoughts:
My crew have sensitive skin and several of us have either eczema or psoriasis. My flare ups seem to be more stress related while my daughters are environmental. And our Rebekah, well all she has to do it walk past or pause to look at poison oak and she starts breaking out in hives. Once she had a horrible break out of poison ivy. It was all over her body and we were leaving on a trip to Virginia to be there for the wedding of our son. After a day of washing Rebekah in this soap, she was no longer itching to death and the red whelps were beginning to settle down. We thought she was over the worse of it. But, this mamma hadn’t washed Rebekah’s favorite blanket and she wrapped herself up in the car for the trip. Well, by the time we drove to Virginia, she was covered again in red, itchy, whelps. Oh I felt so bad! Thankfully we were able to find a new bar at a local Kmart and had her and her blanket washed in no time.
Now I keep several bars on hand at all times and keep a bar in each of our first aid kits. This soap is that good at calming irritations from everything from rashes to mosquito bites.
Just lather up the bar and apply to the irritated areas. The active ingredients in the soap calms the surface irritants and removes the oils from the skin to stop the spreading. It’s like it washing off the poison ivy/oak oils on the surface and neutralizes the oil that has burned the skin.
Our daughter Meagan has eczema and came home from work with a bad flare up on her both her hands and one wrist. She had been around something at work that had caused her eczema to flare up. We washed her hands a couple of times over a few hours and made a compress with soapy water for her to hold in place when the itching started back up.
As you can see the areas of the flare up were greatly reduced within a few hours and almost gone by the next day.
With warmer weather coming, you should have Marie’s Original Soaps in your beach or park bag. Having them with you can saves hours of suffering and keep from ruining a great day at outside.
