You Can Grill All Year with Stephen’s Stovetop BBQ Grill #GiftsforMom18

April 8, 2018 by Pam Maynard

We love to grill all year round!  This year, my hubby broke his ankle, so I haven’t been able to grill.  We have a charcoal grill that he lights and I usually cook on when it’s ready.  I have missed that great grill flavor.  I was super excited to get Stephen’s Stovetop Grill!

Stephen’s Stovetop BBQ is a Grill  for your Gas Stove

Stephen’s Stovetop BBQ gives you a quick and even grill with its conductive + convective design and high heat transfer. It’s built from high-grade aluminum, keeping it lightweight and effective. Hollow stainless-steel handles keep things cool while you’re firing up. Stephen’s Stovetop BBQ is a premium stovetop grill designed for gas stoves. Enjoy delicious grilled flavors in your own kitchen — any time, any day, any season.

How does it work?

By directing heat from any normal gas stove flame up through the pan, Stephen’s Stovetop BBQ features true fire grilling, just like an outdoor grill. Openings at the bottom of the Base Pan direct rising heat up through the pan to cook food and heat the Grill Top. The Drip Tray catches juices and directs them away from the heat source, minimizing smoke and removing excessive grease from cooked food.

It’s Easy to Clean!

Stephen’s Stovetop BBQ is designed to clean easily. Just soak in sink for 10 minutes and then wash with non-abrasive brush or included Cleaning Tool, or simply clean in dishwasher. Use a paper towel or soft brush to remove debris then rinse.  The key is to clean it right after using it!  Stephen’s Stovetop BBQ is 100% dishwasher safe.

My Thoughts:

I love products that are easy to assemble.  The grill was pretty intuitive to assemble.  The Drip Tray has to be alighted on the Base Pan fins.  The the Grill top has to be aligned properly with the Base Pan fins, which fit snugly in the grooves of the Grill top.  I know it was aligned corrected because the Grill top slides back and forth on the fins easily.   There really isn’t any other way for it to go together.

The grill heats up relatively quickly to 350 degrees.  It’s important to use the thermometer the whole time you are cooking to keep the temperature even.  We make steaks the first time.  I love the pretty grill marks I was able to make!  They only took about 6 or so minutes per side.  Of course, they were a fatty meat so we did have quite a bit of smoke.

The next time we made burgers.  They came out amazing- so juicy and tasty. Even the cheese melted nicely! Of course, they were fatty too so we had even more smoke than the steaks.  That’s the only thing that we didn’t like about the grill- the amount of smoke it produces.  Even with the hood fan on high, it still set off the smoke detectors.  We all decided it was worth it though, they looked and tasted amazing!

Things to remember:

  • Always use the included thermometer and grill your food at 350 degrees.
  • The more fat in your food, the more smoke when grilling.  We found this out right away.  Fatty Ribeye or Burgers will smoke.  Salmon has no smoke.  Veggies don’t smoke either as they don’t have fat.
  • Add sauces after grilling, not during grilling. We usually marinade our steaks, but they were delicious with just a few spices on before we grilled and a little marinade right after.
  • Wash your grill right after it cools- it cleans much easier that way.
