My Thoughts:
A lot of things start showing age on our bodies and it seems to be something we can’t often battle on our own. For most of us ladies, our face is one area that we will want to slow the process of aging down (if not stop it!). I can remember visiting with my gran and wondering about her wrinkles on her face and hands. She explained that her wrinkles were her badges of a long active life. She had lived and loved hard and the wrinkles around her eyes and mouth were from so much happiness in her life.
Well, as much as I loved my gran, and I appreciate her outlook on life, I don’t have the same appreciation for the wrinkles that are becoming more pronounced with each birthday. My hands have rolls of wrinkles! And my face, yeah the wrinkle machine rolled over it too. So I was intrigued when asked to give the Co2Lift from Lumisque a try.
I’ve tried masks, peels, lotions over the years and well, always felt disappointed. Okay maybe I was asking too much from a product – but..I did want to see some improvement to warrant the often icky smell, taste or feel of the products.
When I opened the box, I was surprised to see two complete sets of mask products. Nice! You see my thoughts had been that I would try it on one side of my face and then compare it to the other. However, my concern was that if it made a huge difference…I would be pretty funny looking with one wrinkle free side!
Since there were two kits in the box I decided to use one on myself and the other on one of my daughters who is hitting that big 30. She is concerned about her skin since she spends a great deal of time in the sun and water as a rescue diver for the area. Just wearing the diving gear is rough on your face and irritates the area around your eyes. Not to mention the condition of some of the water she has to search for missing persons. So we mixed up the batches by combining the packets. It smelled like grapefruit to me.
We took a morning and applied the masks to each other and waited. Neither of us felt anything. Was it working? I mean I was expecting it to, oh I don’t know, burn or bubble..I didn’t know what it would take to remove years of wrinkles off my face!
After the allotted time, we removed the masks and inspected our faces. And you know what? We could tell a difference in not just the area around our eyes where you would expect it to be improved, but also along our cheek bones and nose. Our skin felt smooth and my frown lines..okay folds around my mouth were not quite as deep.
We were both happy with the results. Our thoughts were that it would be great to use a couple of times before a big event like a wedding or reunion, you know where everyone will be checking you out. For me, if I could afford it, I would use it daily and might even put on makeup to cover the small lines that remain.
Seriously though, we were both able to tell a difference after applying the product. Even several hours later. In fact, I think our results improved over the next few hours.
I imagine it will be a product that is used again with the wedding and my girl friend weekend coming up this summer.
