My Thoughts:
Maintaining my health wasn’t something that I gave much attention to when I was a young adult. Fast forward a couple of children and decades of time and you can see the lack of attention all over my body. Now, I am not one to jump on the miracle cure band wagon and normally am skeptical of the claims on supplements so I was cautiously optimistic when I agreed to try these supplements from Neocell. For the last several weeks I have been using a couple of products that are supposed to help restore and rebuild my skin, hair and nails.
For my skin I have been using Glow Matrix Skin Hydrator. This formula has a list of vitamins from A to K that are known to be needed by your body for healthy skin. After taking this supplement for several weeks I have noticed that my skin is not as dry in spots. Most of my skin is normally dry, itchy and looks like a desert floor. When I would apply lotions, my skin would inhale it. Now I notice that my hands and arms are not as visibly dried or cracking.
Oh my poor hair, I have often said that I am surprised that I still have any on my head when you look at the drain after a shower. I have thick, heavy hair that over the years has not always been treated to kindly. Between coloring and spending too much time in the sun and surf, it shows my age. After agreeing to try the Keratin Hair Volumizer for a month, I will admit that I didn’t notice much of a change in my hair except that there was less hair in the drain each morning after showering. Now that alone speaks volumes but it was my hair dresser that asked me about my hair. She said it did not have as much breakage in the length and it picked up the color she was applying quicker than in past treatments. I will take that as a win for my hair!
Another product that I have been using is the Beauty Infusion Drink Mix that contains 6,000 mg Collagen, 50 mg Hyaluronic Acid, and 3,000 mcg Biotin, and other nutrients known to help strengthen hair and nails. It is a powered mix that has a cranberry flavor that can be enjoyed mixed in water to added to my morning smoothie.
All three of these products have similar ingredients which seem to be working as I am noticing slow changes in my skin, hair and nails. Looking at the ingredient listing on each, many of the items listed are the same which leads me to believe they are needed to restore and maintain the healthy appearance that we all desire. I feel it is also important to note is that the ingredients are all things that can be pronounced and are not some unknown blend of things.
I have not had any negative side effects from these supplements and although I have only been using them for just short of a month, I wouldn’t expect miracle results. However, with the combination of the additional vitamins and nutrients, I am starting to see subtle changes. The condition of my skin, hair and nails did not get in the rough condition they are in overnight and I wouldn’t expect overnight improvement, but I have to say that I plan on continuing this supplement grouping since I am seeing positive results.
