Do you remember your summer camp days? My favorite memories were the night games and the longstanding friendships created. Group games build friendship and teamwork skills that go a long way to encourage growth in our children. Starlux Games involve everyone and encourages families or groups to get away from the screens and get together.
About Starlux Games
Based on the understanding that children need to have interaction with others in order to fully develop their character and personalities, Starlux Games has developed several games parents and youth group leaders can use to build bonds between the group.
These games are set up to:
Activate your children by getting them outside and away from screens.
Motivate your children by encouraging them to get more physical activity.
Captivate your children by engaging their thoughts and brain power to solve games.
Innovate your children to learn to work with others to the betterment of the team.
Cultivate your children to make new friends and to make sure everyone participates.
Starlight Swimming Games
Who doesn’t love playing in the pool with games? This swimming game takes it to a new level with glow in the dark games.
Save the Lost
This game gets larger groups of players working together. Save the Lost is fast paced and requires teams to work together. It teaches the Christian principle of being the light in the world and being that beacon of light that the lost can use to find their way to safety.
My Thoughts:
All of my little ones are part fish.
They LOVE being in the pool, ocean or any activity related to water. Playing games in the pool, especially with glow in the dark toys takes the excitement up a level. The game set includes more than enough sets for your family to all be able to play together. There are ten different swimming pool games built in the set. They are all super easy and can be changed up as needed for different ages.
Our children absolutely love playing capture the flag at youth group. When we brought out this game they couldn’t wait to play it. The Save the Lost is a group based game where teams have to help each other to lead others to the light. It is a faith based game where the principal of Christians being the light in the darkness of the world.
Played outside and at night, the players are divided into “the Lost” or “the Tempters”. One group is seeking to find the “Light” while the other group are chasing and capturing them. In order to win, players must out-run, out-hide, and out-wit the enemy (the Tempters). In order to win the game, it isn’t enough for one person to make to the light, but everyone has to find the light.
Both of these games, along with several others by Starlux Games encourage interaction and build skills of cooperation and teamwork. Two skills that our children will need to master in order to be self sufficient adults.
And another bonus in playing these and other games with your children is that you get physical activity and build strings of bonds with their hearts. When your children know that you are there and are willing to participate in their lives, they will depend on that connection when times get tough.
Add these games by Starlux to your family or group activities.
