Once you become a mom you realize how much gear you need every time you leave the house. A high-quality diaper bag is one of the most important items you can invest in. A few things I look for in a diaper bag (and I’ve tried a lot) are that they leave me hands-free to wrangle my three kids, they’re chic, and they hold all the necessities that come with having little kids. I’m thrilled with my new Obersee Madrid Convertible Diaper Bag because it checks all those boxes and more! This diaper bag converts from backpack to messenger bag, and I can use it long after my kids are out of diapers.
About the Obersee Madrid Diaper Bag
The Madrid Diaper Backpack Messenger Bag by Obersee is a spacious premium quality diaper bag with a messenger bag style that transforms into a backpack. The practical styling allows for years of use, even after your child is beyond the diaper bag years.
The Obersee Madrid Convertible Diaper Backpack Messenger Bag is for families who want one durable bag to get them through the baby years, toddler years, and beyond. What’s amazing about this bag is that it transitions seamlessly into a computer bag once you no longer have a need to tote diapers, wipes, and snacks on every outing.
My Review
Whenever I have purchased diaper bags in the past, I’ve always made sure they were in neutral colors to that my husband feels comfortable carrying it, too! From the moment my Obersee Madrid Convertible Diaper Backpack Messenger Bag arrived in the mail, I loved the simple color and sleek design. I knew I would be able to use this for multiple situations, from running errands to airport travel.
The Outside of the Bag
The more I learned about this bag, the more excited I became. First of all, the outside of the bag includes a pocket for a water bottle, a small pocket that zips close which is the perfect size for a cell phone, two horizontal pockets under the cover flap, and best of all, a padded zip-close pocket for laptops or tablets. I immediately thought of how perfect this bag would be as a carry-on bag on an airplane! Everything is within reach and easily accessible when you need it most.
At first, I was disappointed that the top didn’t close or snap shut. Then I realized that the cover flap is detachable. You can order different colors if you want to change up the look of the bag! With the cover flap attached, it truly looks like a laptop messenger bag. The cover flap zips on the back of the bag, and snaps shut in the front. Even when the flap is closed, you can still access the pockets underneath, which store a portable changing mat. Moms know that you need to be able to grab these items with one hand while holding the baby in the other.
Depending on your preference or situation, the bag can be a backpack or a messenger bag. You can detach either type of strap and store it in one of the bag’s many pockets. I like that the straps aren’t dangling from the bag when you’re not using them!
Inside the Bag
The front compartment of the bag has pockets for diapers and wipes to keep things organized. There is also a mesh pocket for easy storage of toys or snacks. A zippered section separates the front and back compartments. The bag comes with a small packing cube to store clothes or blankets. It also comes with a separate cooler bag which fits perfectly in the back compartment.
Obersee really thought of everything when they designed this bag! Each pocket and compartment has a specific purpose, and the bag is easily customizable for different ages and stages of life.
I would highly recommend this bag to new parents, or even veteran parents of multiple kids who need to haul everything from diapers to sports gear. Finally, this bag would be awesome for moms who love to travel with their kids and want a multipurpose bag that keeps their electronics safe and their hands free.
