Play Monster
Patch Products is now PlayMonster and they have expanded their line of fun for the entire family. I first met the staff at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair where I was able to see and touch some of their new products. My crew were so excited over several items that they can’t wait for them to hit the market. Here are a couple of the most recent goodies we have been having a blast enjoying.
Super Spinner
Swing, spin or do both at once! Plus, the sturdy seat is so comfortable, it makes the Super Spinner a great place to hang out and relax too! Curved design for added safety and comfort; center hole allows for water drainage from rain. Includes strong, UV-resistant rope and locking safety clips that easily connects to a swing set or tree (may require additional equipment). Automoblox
The high-quality line of buildable and mixable vehicles is an innovative reinvention of the classic wooden toy car, and is a popular favorite because of its imaginative play, creativity and collectability. Each vehicle includes multiple interchangeable components and sports a body made of European beech wood. Kids can play with and collect cool sedans, rugged trucks, sporty vans, and more. The more they collect, the more customizing they can do. Plus, they’re fun to race! It’s easy enough for kids as young as three to get in on the fun, and the cool designs appeal to older kids as well!
Don’t Rock the Boat Game
Balance Yer Mateys or Overboard Ye Go! Arrrrr ye ready for some fun? Take turns trying to balance your pirate pieces on the ship, but if you rock the boat and send some mateys overboard, ye be a landlubber! For 2 to 4 players, ages 5 and up.
My Thoughts:
Having games that everyone can play together is important to our family. They also have to be able to stand up to toddler love.
My little ones are begging to go outside to play on their super spinner swing. We had it on the swing set but moved it to under the deck because they wanted to be out on it even in the snow.
Now they can play outside and swing but be out of the weather. We will move it back out to the swing set once the weather decides to stay warm.
What little boy doesn’t like cars? The Automoblox is a car that comes apart and has parts that can be used with other Automoblox vehicles. Now the little ones can create their own versions of vehicles.
As a mom, I like that the parts are interchangeable. It really reduces the time spent picking up and looking for just the right part for the job.
A note added here… sister loves cars too!
Pirate language and giggles are required for this game!
A pirate ship is balanced on a pole and you have to place people and items on the ship without knocking everything off.
I have to admit that the little ones do just as well as the older ones. They just drop theirs on the ship and they seem to stay put. I painstaking place mine and the entire thing dumps over.
All of these games would make a great addition to an Easter basket or gift.
