Design Details
A TrilobeTM shaped profile deployed into both the shaft and the ribs for superior torque and strength defines the Core technology.
250 parts make up the Stratus, and they are hand assembled. The finest quality Aircraft Aluminum help reinforce the design, as does the Fiber Reinforced Polymer frame. The handle is detailed with Zinc Alloy chrome, and the fabrics are Teflon® coated. Plus the base of each umbrella has a patented Flange, small disc, that protects the tips from catching on clothes, fingers, or other items. Lastly the handle has a removable strap which makes it versatile and easy to carry. Then the Stratus is enclosed in a nice canvas case, lined with fabric.

Mom’s Thoughts
The look of the Stratus Umbrella is sleek and sophisticated. I was highly impressed with the outer case. It just gave the umbrella a classy feel. Once I took the umbrella out I went right outside to try out the Auto-Open/ Auto-Close buttons. My Stratus was out and ready for rain with the a simple push of one button. Then I hit the close button and it immediately bunched back up together. Once it bunches up you use your hands to push it back toward the base until it clicks in place. It was simple and easy to do one handed.
We were able to try it out in the rain a few days after I got it. It worked very well, and kept my kids dry as they walked the dogs in the rain. Now it will go into my car and be there for when I am stuck in a downpour. I seem to never have an umbrella when I need one, so now I can stow this great Stratus in the car for those times. It is so compact and easy to store it will not be in the way at all. Most noteworthy is the auto functions, because now I won’t get so wet trying to get into my car. Now I can hit the button while I am getting in and it will close up and be ready to push into place.
