Realistic Plants at Silk Plants Direct #review

September 13, 2017 by Pam Maynard

When it comes to gardening and making flowers grow, I’m the worst. Don’t get me wrong, I try really hard, but unfortunately, over the years, the plant homicide rate in our house is at an all time high. When I discovered Silk Plants Direct, I knew my plant murdering days were over.

In business since the 1980’s, Silk Plants Direct has been importing, manufacturing, designing and installing silk plants and tress. After discovering most of their customers didn’t like the maintenance and cost of live plants, the company decided to focus on silk. Silk Plant Direct has grown into one of the most reputable silk plant and tree producers in the world. They fulfill the plant needs of many hospitals, malls, office buildings and hotels.

Located out of the midwest, their location allow for easy shipping to anywhere. They have more than 30,000 square feet of warehouse space and has an inventory of more than 500 varieties of plants, trees, flowers, foliage, planters and more. They also create custom pieces for their clients.

The color quality on the leaves is extremely deep. They are made from a wide range of synthetic, latex and other materials. They require very little maintenance, just a damp cloth to wipe any dust off.

Not only do their plants look real, they feel real too. I was sent a set of boxwood topiaries and I am actually very surprised at the quality of them. I expected them to be like all the other silk plants I’ve bought, but they are very well made. They don’t fall apart like some. I have a new puppy and she’s very attracted to them. However, they are holding their own against a very rambunctious beagle.

I chose the boxwood topiary because they are a timeless look, they are vibrantly green and are perfect for most decor. They are small and easy to place alone or in the pair. Eventually, I’ll go back to Silk Plants Direct and purchase outside topiaries for my porch. They will make a beautiful and needed addition to the front of my house.
