Which Essential Oils Are Most Beneficial?

September 8, 2017 by Pam Maynard

Whether you need something to decrease the level of stress that you have or you want a product that can be used on the skin to relax the muscles, consider using essential oils. There are numerous types of oils that are available, each with their own unique properties for various areas in life. Most essential oils that you find can be dabbed on the skin, consumed or used in a diffuser so that you smell the scent in the home.

essential oils

Lemon

One of the most versatile essential oils listed from doTERRA products is lemon. You can use a few drops in the washing machine to make the clothes smell fresh and clean. Add a few drops to your dish water for a refreshing aroma while washing dishes. It can be used to clean counters and other surfaces in the home when you mix a few drops of the oil with warm water. When you diffuse the oil through the home, there is an alluring scent that is soothing and relaxing after a long day.

Peppermint

This is an oil that you’ll want to use if you have some head tension or if you need to help support respiratory health. It can be mixed with products to clean the teeth or mixed in with your shampoo and conditioner. This oil almost instantly soothes stress away and relaxes the mind. It can also help to soothe digestion and improve concentration.

Orange Oil

A sweet scent is that of an orange. This oil is invigorating and energizing. It’s often used in diffusers or in a pot of boiling water so that the scent can disperse through the home. When you inhale orange essential oil, it can help to reduce anxious feelings. If you apply the oil to the skin, it can help to clean and soothe the skin, keeping the skin looking healthy.

Which Essential Oils Are Most Beneficial?

Lavender

After a long day, add a few drops of lavender oil to your bath water for a stress-free experience. The scent of the oil is calming and helps you relax in the evening before bed. Many people will add the oil to bath salts. Lavender is also an antioxidant and can help to boost the immune system when taken internally.

When you begin your search for an essential oil, you need to think about the reason you want the product. There are some oils that are better for use on the skin and some that are better for smelling. Essential oils are natural and safe for almost anyone to use.
