I’m so happy that I have a son. I grew up with two sisters and seven nieces. Boys were not in our world. Sure, I had boy cousins, but they lived hours away from us. So, anytime I got a chance to play with GI Joe or Transformers, I jumped at it. Having a son is like discovering all the fun boy toys for the first time. When I was approached about the Max Traxxx, I was so excited to race cars with my kid, I couldn’t stand it.
Max Traxxx has several different sets, but this one is very cool. It combines building blocks to build up the track and make each race different and cool glowing tracks that two different RC cars can race. There are two cars that come with each set, one Camaro, and one Mustang. It also comes with blocks and more than 36 feet of racing tracks (that glows!!!!)
The cars can go up to 500 miles per hour. Now, I don’t have a way to clock it and can only take the manufacturer’s word for it. What I can say is that the cars are as quick as lightning, leaving fun glowing streaks behind them. It’s so cool! R/C cars have come a long way since the tractor my dad had that was attached to the controller and could only creep along while you walked behind it.
The cars are recharged by being plugged into the control. You do need four AA batteries for each charger, and they are not included in the package. But, I feel like this set will give hours and hours of fun for any child that likes remote control racing, I would be happy to buy the batteries.
