The one piece of underwear I own that reminds me of my mom is the dreaded knee highs. I know logically they make sense, but they are not attractive. I don’t want people thinking that I wear panty hose in this day and age when panty hose are not pc anymore. There is a solution. Keysocks are the next generation no-show knee high sock.
Some of the best things in the world are made by accident. In 2009, the Keysocks founder, Shelby McKee wanted to wear ballet flats to an event but didn’t have no-show knee highs. She took a pair of her husband’s dress socks and made her own no-show knee highs. This, my friends, is how Keysocks were born.
I’m not exactly sure when the “panty hose” look became out of fashion, but I remember that women started wearing shoes without any hose. I always like the feeling of something between my feet and my shoes, but what do I know about good fashion?
When this box arrived, I was thrown a little by the way they looked right out of the box, but two seconds later I was impressed with the design, the quality and the little details, like the embroidered key.
There are four different styles of Keysocks, Winter Warm, Classic, Barely There and Weekend Keysocks. The Classic and Barely There are the two styles I have and I really do love them. They are so soft, sheer and lightweight. They can be worn with any type of shoe, but with these, they are best with dress shoes and casual flats.
I didn’t understand at first why these are so unique, but the more I wear them and use them, it has hit me. They really are a knee high that doesn’t show when you wear shoes. The Barely There is made from 99% nylon and 1% spandex and helps with preventing blisters.
The Classic style is made with coffee charcoal, rayon, nylon and spandex. They stay comfortably in place, has coolmax technology for maximizing moisture wicking to help keep you dry and odorless. They also help with keeping bacteria (that causes smelly feet) away, as well as prevents blisters.
Keysocks are the answer to battling footies and no show socks that slip off your feet. Check them out online for more information.
Keysocks would be a great addition to any wardrobe so we included them in our Back 2 School guide. Check it out HERE!
