Whether it’s an injury or prevention, sometimes a brace for your knee, leg or arm is a needed accessory. Zamst is just the company to provide any type of support for your appendages.
Zamst is a precision engineered support technology that reinforces and protects athletes from injury. They are not simply a brace. They are so much more sophisticated than the generic pieces found in a box store. They are built on a knowledge base in the medical field, they understand the human body and it’s limitations.
All support is not created equal. I know this because of the journey my family has been on in the past year with my daughter and her knees. She started running track and when she started having pain in her knees, we visited doctors, specialists, clinics, emergency rooms and finally we found a doctor (mind you, this was in a sketchy part of town) that told us her knee cap was pulling to the inside of the leg, causing her pain and swelling. The obvious question was “how do we stop this from happening?”
Physical therapists told us to tape or keep a brace on her while she was exercising and running. Anytime she puts in more than normal time on her legs, she has pain. She does tape her leg, but a brace works great for when she’s working (she’s a waitress) or exercising or when she’s running. We received two different braces from Zamst and found out that different braces (or support technology) hold differently.
We tried out the MK-3 ( for the knee) and she liked it. It was soft and fit well, but it didn’t have the amount of support she needed to keep her kneecap in place, but she’s used to a very firm supportive knee brace. The MK-3 has the i-fit technology in order to provide an open panel design with adjustable fasteners to deliver an individualized fit. It’s lightweight and has the V-Tech flow through ventilation to enhance cooling when the athlete is in motion.
The other brace we tried is very cool (at least to me). This one, IW-1 Set is both a brace and ice pack so that the athlete can ice his/her knee, ankle, legs, arm, or whatever while wearing the technology. The i-fit design holds and provides adjustable compression of the ice bag to the affected body part. After the ice is in the bag and secure, the athlete can still be mobile while wearing it without the bag falling or slipping off.
