nabi Compete Bands Encourage Both Child and Parent to Stay Active
Healthy, active lifestyles for both children AND parents is so important. Teaching your child through example is the best way to truly teach them something, especially when it comes to being active. nabi Compete Bands are a GREAT resource to do just that!
Take on friends and family with fun activity challenges. Select a distance goal and choose from a variety of real life challenges like the length of the Brooklyn Bridge or the National Mall Loop. Or choose a food goal and see who can burn off the calories of junk food.
When it comes to my children, sometimes it takes a little bit of an incentive to get them physically active. They tend to want to watch tv, play other electronics or even read. None of those are bad things… as long as they are still getting the physical activity!
Do I expect my children to run 5 miles a day?! No! Do I run 5 miles a day?! Absolutely not (although, I probably should). When wearing something to monitor the number of steps you take in a day, it makes you much more aware of just how inactive you really are within a day!

How I Use Nabi Compete
My 10-year-old is very competitive. He loves to run and play but lately has become a little more content with laying around doing much to nothing. My 14-year-old, let’s just say he is a typical teen who doesn’t want his little brother winning at ANYTHING over him. I told them we were going to have a competition and explained how the bands work. I put $5 in a jar in plain sight at the beginning of the week. I told them at the end of the week, whoever had the most steps for the week would get the $5. I figured that long term, I am saving money on medical bills if we are all living healthier lifestyles! Boy, did that get them motivated!
Have you ever heard the term, “out of sight, out of mind”? Don’t let fitness be “out of mind”… put everything in sight by using Nabi Compete Bands!
