Fooled Ya Low Carb Cheesy Chicken!
ONLY 5 INGREDIENTS
Noone will ever believe that you can lose weight AND eat this yummy dish!
Are you tired of the same ole’ dry baked chicken? I was, so I decided to do something about it! I had gotten into a cooking rut… I found myself making the same things week after week (or stopping by Chik-Fil-A because I was tired of the “same ole same ole”). I still bought the same ole chicken but I threw in some cheese… and wowzers! It’s a game changer! AND the entire family was begging for more!
So without further ado, here’s how you can make yours!
Ingredients:
- 4 Chicken Breasts
- 1/2 Stick of Butter
- 1 cup of Cheese
- 1 Cup of low carb Bread crumbs (I used Sourdough)
- 6 Egg Whites
Just a little tip: use parchment paper to line your dish with. It will make clean up MUCH easier! Your welcome! 🙂
Start off by cutting your chicken breasts into strips. I cut each breast into 3 strips, you can do less or more – whatever floats your boat.
Mix the cheese and bread crumbs in a bowl together. Mix it good! Then dip each breast in the egg whites. Make sure and get the entire strip coated well, this is what the cheese and bread sticks too!
Roll those little strips in the bread/cheese mixture and place in the baking dish.
When the chicken is spread in dish, I cut up the butter and placed small pats here and there on the chicken.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350′ for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10-15 or until the chicken is golden brown and bubbly.
YUM!
What are you waiting for? Go get that chicken and start cooking!
