This Valentine’s Day, slip into something a shade darker when Fifty Shades Darker opens in theaters! Mom Does Reviews recently hosted a fantastic book club event for all of our friends who needed a Darker refresher! We snacked on Grey cake and a decadent no-bake cheesecake while chatting about the story. When I asked my girlfriends what they remember from the book they replied “Sex! Lots of sex!”
I could hardly keep my cheesecake in my mouth while another friend teased, “I’m sorry, I don’t remember anything outside of the Red Room…”
THAT is precisely what our party was about; to remind us that there was a whole lot more to this story than just sex!…

What I love about this film is that even if you haven’t read the books or saw Fifty Shades of Grey, you can still enjoy this latest release! Black Bottom Vanilla Cheesecake Recipe
Every fairy tale has a dark side…
Ingredients:
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 3.4 oz Cheesecake Pudding Mix
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 10 oz Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
- 6 tbsp Butter
- 6 oz Black Candy Melts (optional)
- 2 tbsp shortening (optional)
Directions:
Crush whole cookies into fine crumbs and add to a small bowl. Melt butter and pour into crumbs. Mix well. (mixture will be moist)
Line a 14oz ramekin with wax paper. Pour crust mix into a ramekin, press evenly with a flat bottom cup. Press firmly with your cup to create a well in the middle of your crust. Chill while preparing cheesecake filling.
Using a stand mixer combine cream cheese, pudding mix packet, milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
Pour cheesecake into crust.
Chill cheesecake for one hour.
Melt black chocolate melts and shortening according to package directions. Drizzle across cheesecake and serve.
