Baking and cooking are vital skills that our children should be learning.  It helps them to prepare for adulthood, and gives them confidence now.  Besides teaching life skills, it is so nice to have them cook dinner for you once in a while.  Kidstir Cooking Kits help parents to educate and empower their kids about food.  Which enables them to make healthy, smart choices whatever the circumstances in life might be.  Therefore you can have peace of mind when they are out in the world without you.

About Kidstir

Kidstir is a monthly hands-on kit that was developed to get kids to learn life skills in the kitchen while creating lasting memories.  It is an experience both the parents and kids love.  In addition to the fun, kids can build their own cookbook, try new foods, and learn about where the food comes from.   Most Noteworthy is that these kits are helpful to people of all walks of life, and in 2015 Kidstir partnered with the California Autism Foundation and Elwyn Foundation for fulfillment services.  Now these amazing cooking kits are part of helping to train and assist people to reach their highest potential for independence, productivity, and fulfillment.

My daughter loved the Kidstir holiday box.  Since she got a cookbook too, she can add in all her new recipes.  In her box there was three recipes and fun additions to help her make them.  There was detailed picture recipe cards, cookie cutters, an icing bag, multiple icing tips, holiday gift tags, even a craft recipe card for snow globes.  It was all visually appealing, and nicely done.  Furthermore the recipes were easy for her to follow with a little help from me.  Lastly we had most of the needed ingredients on hand which made things very simple.

She made the Snowflake shortbread cookies yesterday, and they are so delicious.  She was very proud of her beautiful cookies.  I helped her roll them out but she made them and the icing all by herself.  Then she iced them, and we had a bunch of lovely snowflakes. Next I think we will be making the Snowball Truffles, then onto the home-made cocoa and the Hot Cocoa Cookies.

This cool subscription would make an amazing Christmas gift for any child.  Each month they would be able to try new things, and add to their own cookbook.

Who do you know that loves to cook, or needs to learn how?
