Every Child Deserves a Buddy Ball!
If you’ve ever taken your little one to the hospital for a test or surgery, you know how scary it can be. While doctors and nurses do their best to care for sick and injured children, being a patient is often very scary. Many hospitals use a Child Life program to help kids get through these scary times. These fun Buddy Balls® helps MaxLand Toys provide support to Child Life programs.
What are Buddy Balls?
Buddy Balls are all the rage in plush toys! Created by a 6 year old child, Buddy Balls are a combination of the scrumptiously soft buddy that provides a child with emotional security, and a toss-able ball, made in modern, bright colors. In addition it has a secret compartment to store life’s little treasures. This will be the most loved toy in the house.
The Buddy Balls Story:
“Invent the best toy ever.” When our son Max came home with this school project, he was so excited to create the perfect toy that he immediately started making a list of qualities it would need:
After thinking hard about all of his favorite playthings, he decided the “best toy ever” simply could not be ONE toy. Instead, why not combine the two he couldn’t do without–one of his sports balls and his beloved plush sleep “buddy”? With a little help from his parents, he did just that…and Buddy Balls was born!
Mom and Dad were recruited to help construct the first prototypes and Max joined several school friends to present a skit about the new toy. Not only did his classmates love the story of how the Buddy Ball was created, but they wanted to know where they could get one for themselves!
And before we knew it, our family had jumped into the toy business
Inspired by Max’s creation, we started MaxLand Toys with the goal of producing a high-quality plush toy that would become a childhood favorite. Looking back at Max’s list with a new perspective, we are struck by what is NOT on it–no joystick, swipe screen, or battery. In an age of technology where even 3 year-olds are adept at loading their favorite “app”, young children still have a true love for the simplest toys. And it is our hope that every child who receives a Buddy Ball will love it as much as we loved making it!

My Thoughts:
I work in the MRI department at a Hospital in New Hampshire. I know my pediatric patients would LOVE a Buddy Ball to keep them company during their MRI. We work closely with the Child Life Department and I actually brought them a few of the Buddy Balls so they could give them to our MRI patients. They were thrilled with them.
These Buddy Balls are the perfect gift for any little one on your list! They are so soft and snuggly, even my 13 year old loved it! Plus, it makes into a ball so played catch with one for an hour. Well, we really played keep-away from the German Shepherd.
