Mad Libs Gone Bad Libs!
There is a new KID-friendly OFFLINE card game inspired by Cards Against Humanity – called NOT PARENT APPROVED – an Inappropriately Appropriate Card Game for Mischief Makers Ages 8+. Instead of sexual tension, profanity and politics – it’s boogers, wedgies and Taylor Swift.
NOT PARENT APPROVED isn’t just a game – it’s our sincere goal to help get kids away from the screen and back into real life. After screen-banning her son for a weekend, the founder, Stacy, realized a fun game that kids and exhausted parents could enjoy together is hard to find.
Not Parent Approved solves this dilemma in 3 ways:
1) It feels naughty to kids. Why? We kick off with a burping contest.
2) It’s Fun for Adults. Most games kids want to play with you, make you want to poke your eyes out.
3) It’s simple & snack-able.” It’s as easy (and as fun) to play as clicking on an app.
About Not Parent Approved (NPA):
455 CARDS OF “SNOT-OUT-OF-YOUR-NOSE” LAUGHTER.
Not Parent Approved is a kid-friendly game inspired by Cards Against Humanity, created to provide an attention-grabbing, easy-to-learn and hilarious alternative to screen time for families and children 8+. The game is effortlessly entertaining. No need to be great at drawing or acting out charades.
Game Play
• Core gameplay is simple – It’s Mad Libs gone Bad Libs! Each round, one player asks a question from a Red Card and everyone else answers with the funniest Blue Card.
• Not Parent Approved gives the kids a feeling of being naughty and cool but is within (most) parental boundaries.
• NPA makes it okay to put booger juice, fart, and Grandma in the same sentence!

My Thoughts:
Over the Thanksgiving break, my hubby and I played Cards Against Humanity with a group of friends. NOW I understand why it isn’t for kids or tweens. It was hilarious, but definitely inappropriate for kids under 17.
My son will be 14 next week and he has been bugging me to play Cards Against Humanity. Now he has NPA to play with his friends. They played it last week and had a blast. I think a few of them laughed so hard, soda came out their nose! It reminds me of an extreme Mad Libs but in a game!
If you have a game-lover kid in your house- this game is perfect for them. The more players that play, the better. The rules are easy to follow and anyone can start playing at anytime during the game, or even sit out a few turns. Depending on who you are playing with, the game is never the same twice.
