Tru Blue
by Melissa Foster
Melissa Foster brings us the story of Truman and Gemma. Gemma is a woman who grew up in a world of privilege, devoid of any parental love. Truman grew up with a drug addicted mother, whom he took care of. Together, they find their way to their perfect life together, against all odds.
When Truman decided to cover for his younger brother and say he killed a man that was hurting his mother, he didn’t expect to be put in prison for it. However, that’s exactly what happened. Vowing to never let the secret out, he took the punishment for his brother and when he was released found out that his brother followed in his mother’s footsteps as an addict. When their mother dies of an overdose, Truman finds out about a very young brother and sister that his mother had given birth to on the streets, without medical care or birth certificates.
Taking on the task of raising these babies, Truman starts out the best way he knows. While buying supplies for the babies, he meets Gemma. Gemma was intrigued by this tattooed bad-boy with the sweet toddler and young baby. Who was this man? She watched him try and pick out supplies, even though it was clear that he had no idea what he was doing. She did what she couldn’t help and jumped in, introduced herself and helped him. That was the night that changed all their lives.
Even though they both had their own issues to work out personally, they found that they were good together and sparks were flying like sparklers on the fourth of July. Eventually, she learns of their mother, how Truman stepped up to the plate and fell in love with the kids. Gemma, unable to have children of her own, had always dreamed of a family with plenty of love to go around.
Melissa Foster tells this story of a princess shop owner who finds her Tru Blue Love. It’s a wonderful story complete with bikers, princess dresses and tea parties. This is one Melissa Foster book you won’t want to miss.
