Cosmic and Eternal Love
I love to color, and I am happy there are now books geared to adults. After all, why should the children have all the fun. Amrita Sen created a beautiful coloring book for adults. Furthermore this book, Cosmic and Eternal Love, is more than just a coloring book. It is a classic Indian love story wrapped up in intricate and amazing designs.
About Amrita Sen
Amrita Sen is a musician and a visual artist. She sees art as she performs or writes music. Then while drawing or painting she hears music. To her the two fields are intertwined. This book Cosmic and Eternal Love represents a way for people to meditate and express their creativity while tapping into senses they thought did not exist. She wants her book to evoke the emotions of a deep love story, while immersing the person in the world and soundscapes of the characters.
I hope that readers and coloring book enthusiasts have the same multi-dimensional creative experience I had. I am excited to share this universal love story that has existed in Indian mythology for many millennia, and I am even more excited that I had the chance to make it contemporary and fill it with pop music.”
This book has 15 original compositions so you can read it like a musical play. The gorgeous pictures and intriguing story are accompanied with a CD of modern pop music with hints of Bollywood tunes. The music completes the experience of the elements of art and the romantic story.
I really enjoy the moments I get to sit down and color in this book. In addition to coloring I read the enchanting love story in the book from start to finish because it was so captivating. My ten year old daughter enjoyed it as well. Coloring helps me to unwind, and the music made it even better. As a mother of three home schooled children I do not get to much leisure time. Now when I do grab a few minutes to myself, I color. While I color I can relax, and create beautiful pictures.
How do you unwind?
