Are you definitely NOT a morning person? Or, do you have that ‘hard to wake’ person in your family? You need to try the Philips Wake-up Light. I personally am not a morning person. I guess it does not help that I also have room darkening shades, so no matter what time it is, my room is always dark. Well, I was asked to try the wake-up light.

Tap Snooze
This light/clock, lets you wake up naturally. It has a light that starts out with a soft red/pink glow and slowly brightens over the 30 minutes before the actual time set for the alarm. Then the sound that you have set goes off. There are 5 nature sounds or an FM radio you can set it to. The five nature sounds are: Bird Song, Birds in the forest, Zen Garden, Gentle Piano and Seaside Sounds. The sound I set it for the first morning we used it was the birds in the forest. It was a pleasant experience waking up to a gentle light and the birds. My husband’s first words were, “I’m in a Disney movie.” He is a big cut-up, but he said he did like the wake-up light.
The light is fairly easy to set up. I did have to get my husband to help me understand that it was a touch setup under where the numbers are illuminated. After that, it was easy to navigate and set everything up. The buttons around the edge of the light are for brightness setting and the radio settings. There are two alarm settings, 20 different brightness settings and you can just tap the light for the snooze. The clock display also automatically dims when the room is dark. So, if you have problems getting up in the morning, try the wake-up light. I can honestly say that it helps my mood in the mornings so that’s a win in my book!
