About Sprinkles Bakery

In 2005 Candace Nelson opened America’s first cupcake-only bakery.  Although people thought it was crazy to just sell cupcakes, she was a huge success.  She sold out on opening day and most every day since.  Today she has seventeen locations, and no plans to slow down.

About Sprinkles Baking Book

In this book, Candace shares the recipes that have been so vital in her life and the lives of her customers.  You will find 50 Sprinkles cupcake recipes, ranging from true classics to new flavors exclusively created for this book.  In addition to the cupcake recipes, there are 50 of Candace’s favorite desserts with recipes for pies, quick breads, cookies, cakes, bars, and other classics.

With this Sprinkles Baking Book I was able to whip up a carrot cake from scratch with a fabulous cream cheese frosting for my mother’s birthday.  She loved it and couldn’t believe how amazing the frosting was.  In addition to the great taste , the recipe was easy to follow.  Most noteworthy is it didn’t call for anything fancy that wouldn’t be in your pantry or fridge already.

I can see why Candace sold out on opening day, because a day after I made the carrot cake it was all gone.  Due to the success of that recipe, I am going to try a few more.  The next ones I will make are the recipes for Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies, and Brown Butter Snickerdoodle cookies.  My children are super excited about this yummy book, since they get to be taste testers.

This would be a great gift for the baker in your life!
