When I first decided I wanted to try out these tapestries, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Traditional tapestries are made of wool and are heavy, so I was pleasantly surprised to find RajRang is different. The tapestries from RajRang are lightweight and simple. They don’t have that heavy, carpet feel that some tapestries have. Their vibrant colors draw you to them, therefore making you want to see all the details up close.
The Mandala Tapestry comes in different sizes and styles. You can choose to ones that are single, double or even round. Recently, I received five beautiful pieces, each with their own design. I really love the maroon and gray. The deep colors draw me into them. There are little paisley and flowers throughout the tapestry. Like most pieces, there is a center medallion in which the entire tapestry is designed around. Due to the large sizes, they are large enough to fit over a bed or you can use it for wall or window decorations.
The textile art is so beautiful. I know, I keep saying that, but it’s true. There are so many different designs available that you won’t have any trouble finding something that will fit your style. The hardest part is stopping once you start shopping.
There is this amazingly brilliant Indian Peacock design that draws your eye, as a result, almost hypnotic. It’s teal and blue colors are bursting from the center medallion and screams for a closer look. The center circle is almost like an eye. This tapestry is really spectacular.
Want something a little more whimsical? In addition to traditional tapestries, there are fun “hippie” designs for those who like ethnic but elegant pieces. This one, like all the others, can be used as a colorful room divider, wall hanging, tablecloth, picnic blanket, curtains, bedspread, or whatever your heart desires.
