What Would You Invent with LUX?
Do you have a child who has a big imagination? My 9-year-old is always making new uses for all his toys. The LUX Blox are perfect for him while allowing him to take simple blocks and connect them together to make all sorts of new toys. Therefore, while using Lux, he has been using his imagination creating everything from guns that attach to his arm to simple blocks with letters. As soon as he finishes one thing, he comes back a few minutes later after tweaking his invention to show me how he changed it to make it even cooler. With imagination, the possibilities are endless!
My son has always been into any type of building sets, however; after digging into the box from LUX, he has decided these are so much more versatile than ones he has used before. We are loving the fact that he can invent things that will bend and move while allowing him to “wear” his inventions.
About the Product
The word LUX means “light” in Latin. The inventors of this product chose the name because they wanted to encourage children to “light their imagination” while giving them the power to build whatever they wish.
Packages come instruction free. Yes, that’s right. Instruction free. The number one goal of the company is to encourage imagination. So, there are examples of what they could build on the outside of the box as well as videos available on the product website, but no instructions. As a result, LUX Blox encourages the child inventor to use their own imaginative abilities to make brand new creations each time they put their mind and hands to use rather than just following instructions to build someone else’s invention.
The plastic pieces are identical squares that snap together, therefore they can bend and twist into any shape you chose. Since there is a minimum inventory of parts it creates a maximum diversity of forms.
The small sets contain 88 pieces. Medium sets contain 200 pieces. Large sets contain 450 pieces and then they also offer classroom value packs that have 900 pieces.
