Growing up, my family never celebrated Halloween. My costumes were whatever I could create on my own the day of, and trick-or-treating was never a “family” thing. When I married my husband, however, complete opposite! His family DOES Halloween like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Picture this: spooky mazes for kids, food galore, and creepy decorations that we spend weeks on! –It’s Ahh-mazing!
After seventeen years of marriage, I may not be a Halloween pro yet, but I think I’m getting there! Take a look at the twenty-five Halloween party ideas I have gathered for you below.

One of the most important aspects of your Halloween party is the food! AND creatively themed food is key! Everything on your party table should look spooky or ghoulishly good. Because Halloween parties can last until the kids are howling at the moon, it is a great idea to have two party-table setups. I recommend one for the early crowd with the majority of your food, and a second setup with pre-packaged or sealed foods. This will allow you cleanup your main food table before any leftovers are wasted (and nobody gets sick!)

Hosts often overlook party games thinking that nobody will want to join in, or it would be a waste of their time to plan — completely untrue! Setup game stations throughout your event space. Games that small groups of people can play together are ideal. Skip games that require you to gather everyone up to do altogether (those are the ones nobody likes to play).
