By now, most kids are back in school. Whether you home school or send your children to private or public school, I think we can all agree that active play and healthy lifestyles are an important part of each day.
Two individuals that agree with me on that are Disney Stars, Rowan Blanchard (Girl Meets World) and Jake Short (A.N.T. Farm, Lab Rats), whom I recently had the pleasure of speaking with. They’re joining forces with Dannon® Danimals® and Fuel Up To Play 60 in support of active play and healthy lifestyles by offering kids a chance to win a memorable school field day with NFL Pros!
The first thing I asked Jake and Rowan was if they had any back-to-school tips for moms and kids.
They both seemed to share the same thoughts on this one: Basically just keep things simple, dress comfortably, and be yourself.
As a mom with two young children in school, I agree and completely understand what they’re saying. I think that is very important because allowing my children to choose their outfits each day, keeping in mind what activities they have going on, is important for learning. When kids are comfortable, they will be better able to focus on the lessons at hand.
With Jake’s Lab Rats series and Rowan’s Girl Meets World (season 3 already!) in mind, I was curious what three words they’d each use to describe their characters. Jake’s character, Oliver, would best be described as awkward, clumsy, and fun-loving. Rowan felt that loyal, optimistic, and loving accurately represented Riley, her character on Disney.
Growing up in the public eye, one might wonder if being a role model for young children, tweens, and teens might be difficult. While Jake said it can definitely be hard to be a role model, Rowan didn’t share those sentiments. Rowan felt no pressure. She thinks celebrities are held to this weird standard when really they’re human just like the rest of us.
Keeping the Danimals NFL event in mind, I have something fun to share with you! Rowan and Jake are both excited to be part of this promotion because even though one child’s name will be chosen, the whole school wins! Danimals “Find the Golden Bongo” promotion awards five lucky kids (that’s five schools!) with an NFL Fuel Up to Play 60 Field Day with NFL pros for their entire school.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is the nation’s largest in-school wellness program. They’ve joined together with Dannon Danimals, the leading yogurt brand for kids (and huge favorite in my house!), to inspire kids to make healthy nutritional choices and get active for a minimum of 60 minutes a day. This marks the second year the two companies, NFL sponsors, have come together to provide kids with such an epic active experience where everyone wins — a field day with NFL athletes for their entire school!
How can you have a chance at winning?
Kids and parents across the country are encouraged to find one of five “golden” Danimals Bongo bottles and/or the Danimals Squeezable low-fat yogurts. Not only will everyone win by enjoying the epic field day, but Dannon will award the winning schools with funding to keep the momentum going.
Millions of packages of Danimals Smoothies and Danimals Squeezables low-fat yogurt will highlight the promotion to find the five “Golden Bongos,” the much beloved Danimals character. Food retailers nationwide have started to receive products in stores and the search for the “Golden Bongos” will be active through October. The local field days with NFL players will occur in spring 2017 for the winning students and their schools. Consumers can also see a national television advertisement surrounding the promotion featuring Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons quarterback, and Odell Beckham, Jr., New York Giants wide receiver.
For more information about the promotion, visit the Danimals website. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to participate or win. A purchase will not increase chances of winning.
