A baby. A toddler. A job… I really have my hands full with blessings.
Yes, every one is a blessing, one that many people I know would love to have…
But my hands are full and I need better ways to simplify, to manage my life. Millennial moms like me have an extra challenge our parents did: we are forced to contribute to the income. Some do it by choice, and some due it because they have no choice. But the economy today means that to support a family a mother has to work too.
With all this juggling, moms really due deserve to have things simplified for them – even the little things. Born Free has catered to our generation’s busy moms with the Breeze line of products.
I chose to breastfeed my babies, but sometimes my choices don’t go as planned. Even before my baby was born, we decided that to keep my sanity, my husband would help me with midnight feeds. So we bought a couple of bottles. Little did we know how many we would need…
With my first, I had a long and traumatic delivery. The baby was born too tired to eat. He wouldn’t wake for feedings and had no motivation to latch. We had to supplement from the start. It took me months to be able to breastfeed him properly, and by then I became a pro at pumping too.
With my second, little Baby Y, the latch happened naturally. He took to my breast like a bee to honey… until the doctor said we need to supplement. Low glucose or something like that. I was heartbroken, but did not let it get to me. Once again, we worked hard, worked through nipple confusion, and eventually got through to breastfeeding.
And then the thrush came… I spent an entire day pumping on the lowest setting. There were emotions, strong ones. I was heartbroken, and physically drained too. The Breeze products truly saved me.
About Born Free Breeze Bottles and Brush:
Just like that little bar of chocolate that someone handed you on a hard day, a small break in your routine, a slightly better tool can make all the difference.
The Born Free Breeze bottles have lids that are made of only two parts. That’s one less piece to have to sterilize five times a day while we try to get rid of the thrush. That’s one less part for each feeding that we need to wash while going through a sink full of bottles at the end of a long, trying day.
The Born Free Breeze 2-in-1 bottle brush makes cleanup even easier. I used to need to lineup my sponge, scrubbers, bottle brush, and nipple brush in a row to soap them and have handy while washing dishes. The Born Free Breeze bottle brush has the nipple brush integrated. I don’t need to switch between brushes, making cleanup much more efficient.
“The Born Free® breeze™ 2-in-1 bottle brush is designed to make thorough cleaning of bottles and nipples a breeze. The integrated nipple brush allows for quick and easy nipple cleaning and also reaches those tricky nooks in bottles. “
This brush also helps me clean better, which is critical when helping me get rid of the stubborn thrush.
Features of the Born Free Breeze bottles and brush:
- The brush features a built-in nipple brush, so you can easily wash a sink full of dishes.
- The nipple and ring are one piece so you have fewer parts to lose, clean, and worry about.
- The nipple on the bottles are breastfeeding-friendly. It has an anti-colic system that also puts baby in control, which is what he’s used to. It doesn’t just spill into his mouth, he needs to do some suckling, just like when he breastfeeds. The shape is also reminiscent of the breast, and as you can see in the first photo in this post, his mouth takes on a similar form to a breastfeeding latch and suckle, and not like a bottle suck.
- The brush is compatible with most brands of bottles. So far I’ve found that it works great with the wider type of bottle and not as well with the older style of narrow bottles.
- The brush is top rack dishwasher safe and BPA free. The bottles are also BPA free.
- The brush has a wide base that allows it to stand freely – a major bonus for me! There is so much space in my in-sink caddy and my old brush was a space-hog. This one just stands neatly on the counter or in the sink. It also has a comfortable grip handle.
