During the summer months many families are so busy taking vacations and enjoying the outdoors that they forget to think about upgrading their current vehicle. I think summertime is the perfect time of year to shop for a new vehicle because it allows you the ability to enjoy your car buying experience. During the winter, you’re cold, miserable, and likely buying your car in a rush out of necessity or urgent need. Buying a new car in the summer gives you the flexibility to shop around for the perfect car — but that’s not all!
5 Reasons to Buy New Cars during the Summer!
I. Is your dealership anxiously awaiting the arrival of next year’s lineup? Yes! During my research I found several 2017 models already at the dealership! That means any lingering 2016 models are motivating dealerships to make drastic price drops. Go grab them before they are gone!
II. Test driving a new vehicle in the summer is easier because you aren’t contending with hazardous weather conditions. It always takes me a few minutes to get used to driving a vehicle that isn’t my own. That’s because our bodies remember what our car feels like. It can be dangerous to drive a vehicle you aren’t used to in snow/ice weather conditions.
III. Have you ever gotten into your vehicle in the middle of summer and it never seems to cool off? Buying your vehicle in the summer allows you to recognize where the air conditioning is coming from and if it will be sufficient for your family in the heat. You may find that you need dual air much more than you realized when you shop in the summer.
IV. The sales are great! Many dealerships offer a summer road trip gas allowance or family theme park passes as incentives to buy during the summer. These creative incentives are only offered for summer shoppers!
V. Your salesman is less needy during the summer. In the winter, your salesman is anxiously trying to earn more money for the holidays. This may drive him/her to recommend a vehicle for you that may not be suitable for your family, just because it has a larger price tag.
